PBA Local 183 Updates 3-20-08

Retro Payments- On 3-20-08 the County of Essex will begin payments on our latest arbitration award. The payments will be made in the following manner.

1)      March 20, 2008- members will be paid the first 4% increase (06-current). If you are at top step you will also get your salary adjustment during this period.

2)      April 4, 2008- members will be paid the second 4% increase (07-current). All members going through steps will have their salary adjustments during this pay period. In addition, college adjustments will be made during this period except for the new Bachelor Degree step.

3)      April 18, 2008- members who are eligible for the new Bachelor Degree step will receive the retro for this benefit.

4)      Overtime retro will be adjusted and we anticipate that to be done on the

     May 2, 2008 pay period.

 * We have requested copies of the employer prepared retroactive pay spreadsheets to verify proper calculation of payments.
